Mission: Lead and champion the sustainable development of Jordan’s tourism economy by ensuring industry competitiveness, attracting increased investment and effective global promotion. 

The Department of Antiquities (DOA) is the Jordanian institution that is mandated by law to be responsible for the management, supervision, registration, protection, conservation and presentation of antiquities. It was established in 1928 with the main objective of uncovering, protecting and conserving archaeological sites in Jordan.
